History
The first documented reference in 1658 in the state records of Saxony reads:
"... a free tavern, belonging to the dominion as an interest obligated innkeeper Adam Jäckel...".
This is an ancestor of our family, from which the earlier name "Jäckel'sche Schänke" was derived. In 1725, the house was granted the right to serve drinks.
Run as a family business over the years , the current owner Ruth Holz took over the business in 1990. The inn building was completely demolished in 1995 and rebuilt on the old floor plan one year later. Special care was taken to preserve the original character of the house, thus creating a recognizable value.
Since 2024 we have the classification *** for equipment and comfort of our house.
